All the Reichwingers are jumping for joy on my Facebook feed about the Capitol Police officer dying of natural causes. It’s like it makes it fine to bear-spray and beat people and if it can’t be proven that they died form that alone, all’s fine. These people are not patriots, they do not love the US. They’re fascist racists who posed the greatest threat to democracy in the nation’s history. They deserve every charge that can be filed and the maximum sentence when convicted. ---

Which come to think of it, beating and spraying with irritants is what they already think it’s OK do to, you know, the kind of people who deserve it. But really, that’s the way Reichwingers (love the expression) will look at things. Remember, they worship aggressive strength and power. So to them, if “merely” being rattled and beaten made his weak system collapse that’s just the fault of that vulnerability: a true strong, powerful hero should have easily brushed it off. ---

According to your article, he **was** sprayed with the chemical irritant. And even if the spray and the assault did _not_ directly cause his death, the ME said the stress caused by them was probably a contributing factor. In some jurisdictions, that’s cause for indicting under Murder in the Third. ---
