Yeah, he did lots of investing. Like the destruction of over one thousand Kurdish villages, the killing of 200,000 members of his population, and the making of at least 700,000 homeless. This was all before the Gulf War, btw. That’s some nice investing…
Well, I suppose that killing off the population is one way to raise per-capita income…
Yes, these were all actions carried out by the CIA sponsored killer Saddam Hussein. These atrocities, by far his worst atrocities, were enthusiastically supported by the U.S. The U.S. extended military support, vast amounts of aid credits, and so on, while he was killing lots of Iranians and Kurds. It was only when he disobeyed orders, and became an economic nationalist that he had to be destroyed.
And, by the way, after Saddam could no longer massacre Kurds, the U.S. stepped up arms shipments to the power in the region who could, namely Turkey. Throughout the 1990’s, Turkey happily went about the business of killing lots and lots of Kurds, all with total U.S. support, actually killing them with American made weapons. There is some really dark irony in an American made gunship called an Apache or a Blackhawk being used to slaughter an indigenuous population.
There are some rules in international affairs. The most important rule is that the only rule is that you cannot disobey Washington. As long as you just kill, torture and rape, you will be fine. There will be no repurcussions. As a bonus, you will be supplied with plenty of armaments to carry out your work. But, if you disobey you will become the next Hitler, and targetted for destruction. The rub to all this is that the victims of these dictators also become the victims of the U.S., since the U.S. usually ends up killing lots and lost of civilians before they get to their target.
YOu have totally discredited yourself with that last statement Chumpsky. Ignorance is fun to fight. But outright dementia is another matter. Maybe you should get some help. Or go into hiding before the man comes and gets you for leaking the truth.
