# 7-Up

I think you missed a point about the name of 7-Up. The seven flavors is the way I remember it, but I think the “Up” part referred to the addition of lithium (as the chloride? the carbonate? - some soluble form), lithium being a treatment for manic depression disorder. A little lithium would be an “up” for some folks.
