Michael Mann wasn’t even a little bit subtle with that montage, was he? ---
Okay, I missed it. What’s the theme of this montage?
You’re being really, really offensive for not knowing. _d&r_ ---

Melissa Etheridge and Tammy Lynn Michaels had a wedding ceremony in Los Angeles in 2003. California’s domestic parter registration has much the same effect as a Vermont-style civil union without calling it that. ---

I was sort of hoping **Untited 93** would get this one. I think it was robbed in the Best Pic nominations. ---
Not that I’m about to complain about anything featuring George Clooney in his “O Brother, Where Art Thou?” role, but what was the intro to the WHEE AMERICA YAY montage? I mean, what was the purported point?
> [@Will Smith](#): > > The common thread that you will find in American movies that makes them distinct as American is that there is none. Each as distinct as America itself- some stand out and cheer for us, some make fun of us, some sing for us, some cry for us…but each tells the world who we are as a people, a country that evolves through our social and political and religious difference. We don’t always agree, but we damn well make sure that we’re heard. So basically, America as melting pot, united yet unique. ---

The unofficial winner of the ‘Bring Out Yer Dead’ Posthumous Popularity Applause-0-Meter seems to be…Robert Altman! with Jack Palance and Jimmy Doohan in show and place! I really liked Jane Wyatt and am glad they didn’t show her in her TV roles but her greatest film role and best kiss with Ronald Colman in ‘Lost Horizon’. ---
