The Mark Wahlberg call out was kind of funny. “I don’t have a problem with you. You’re actually kind of badass.” ---

Here’s a list of the [Science & Tech award winners](http://www.oscars.org/79academyawards/scitech/winners.html). Ugh…that Will Ferrell-Jack Black song was awful. Yay! One more for Pan’s Labyrinth! ---

Why does it keep saying **“FRODO”** in gold letters in the bottom left hand corner of the screen when they’re showing the nominees? Another win for Pan’s Labyrinth – I think we know what the Foreign Film winner is going to be… ---

Another win for Pan’s Labyrinth – I think we know what the Foreign Film winner is going to be…
It’s supposed to be “fnord” but they misspelled it. Either that, or it’s a “Frodo Lives” joke from 40 years ago. ---
Another win for Pan’s Labyrinth – I think we know what the Foreign Film winner is going to be…
In an ideal world it would be up for Best Picture too. I wonder if it’ll take all the technical categories it’s nominated for? ---

They play in some cities as a package. I missed it this year (boo hoo). So0und Effects Choir…fun I hope Kevin O’Connell wins for Sound Mixing for Apocalypto. It’s his 19th nomination without a win. ---
How would one go about seeing the nominated short films and animated films?
Very occassionally I’ve seen them advertised at independent/art theaters; more recently, they’ve been released on DVD, though usually after the fact. (ie, “The 2007 Oscar Nominated Shorts”) ---

This sound effects choir is just…uh…weird. Yep, glad they’re cutting down the speeches of O’Toole and Mirren and all to get more of this. Heh, prostitution jokes, go America. The makeup joke with Carrell last year was much better. Nope, it’s the Iwo Jima guy. Yes, nobody’s ever mixed an epic war movie like this guy’s mixed an epic war movie, apparently. Twenty noms and no wins, yikes! ---
Sound effect choir? Who brilliant idea was this?
Ditto, except replace the  with 🆒. I thought it was kinda neat.
