How could Jennifer Hudson have been so surprised? Sheā€™s been the odds-on favorite for months now. Iā€™m glad for her, but I think the Japanese girl from ā€œBabelā€ should have won it. ---

It really is sadistic, how these shows always show us some of the ā€œlosersā€ after the winner is announced. Itā€™s like gaping at a horrific car wreck, isnā€™t it? I donā€™t know how they manage to keep a rictus of appreciation on their faces as they graciously applaud the winner.
