It was a re-run that my daughter was watching. There is a mysterious condom found. Who did it belong to? Just in case anyone really cares _SPOILER SPACE_ It belonged to the youngest son (no I don’t know his name, do you think I make a habit of watching this fluff?). The part that really annoyed me was how the father had a long talk with the young man who gave the condom to his son. The message went something like this: “You should not have given my son the condom. It doesn’t matter that you told him he really shouldn’t have sex at 15 and you did it because you felt it was important that he protect himself. What you should have done was told me. Yes, you should have betrayed his confidence so that the next time he has no one to turn to.” The unspoken message being that good old Dad would have, oh I don’t know, sliced off his son’s genitalia to make sure there would be no pre-marital, underaged sex. I really hate this show. The oldest son is a judgemental, holier-than-thou prick, the youngest daughter is a smart mouthed so-much-wiser-than-her years changling. There are two more daughters. One is apparently a pariah because (according to my daughter) she got arrested— for TP’ing the school gym! Horrors! Send her away before she taints the rest of the children! I just had to wash my brain of this. ---

Hehe. Yeah, I watch the show…I did it at first to make fun of it, but now I watch it somewhat regularly, or whenever I’m there and it’s not, just because it’s lite watching. Youngest son, for the record, = Simon. Anyway, as much as I do watch it, the kids are way too goody-goody. I agree, the oldest son, Matt, is way too annoying, AND attached to the family. Going off to college and regularly coming home to your \ ultra large family…I think I’d have to kill myself if I lived in the Campden family. Matt would be more attractive if he were something of a rebel, but his personality just kind of taints him. Mary is sort of depicted as the pariah, you could say. I’ve always thought of her as kind of a bitch since that basketball episode, but then I have it in for athletes. 😉 Either way, I kind of rejoice deep inside when bad things happen to her…much for the same reason that some of you rejoice when bad things happen to your Sims. I’m STILL not sure why Robbie was adopted by the family (especially in a family with SEVEN children, SEVEN, SEVEN!!!) As for the condom, don’t you think it’s…odd, that a guy with SEVEN, SEVEN children, is lecturing his son on the use of condoms? Maybe he’s bitter, because he never learned how to use one? SEVEN children, my god. One for each of the deadly sins. Hehe…just thought was kind of ironic. ---

I hate that goddamn show. Yuck, yuck, double yuck. I watched one episode wherein the daughter thought she was pregnant but it was actually the parents, and now whenever I need to induce vomiting I simply check the TV Guide channel to see when it airs. As an agnostic, I resent the blatant religious undertones. I resent that they take it upon themselves with this megolomaniacal attitude to preach morals to the morally corrupt of the world. I also think the daughter played my Beverley Mitchell is ugly and cannot act. And the whole thing about the slutty daughter who posed naked in some naked girl magazine and then got kicked off the show makes me wanna shove a pen in my eye. Hypocricy at its finest. “Yes, we whore ourselves to the morally and intellectually bankrupt for the almighty dollar, but we are definitely against nudity!” Die, Seventh Heaven, die! Arghhhhh! ---

It was in one of those “men’s magazines”, you know, _FHM_, _Maxim_, _Stuff_. One of those three. It wasn’t _Playboy_ or anything. She was trying to get kicked off the show. ---

I think it was in Maxim - one of those cheap men’s magazines that gives shaving cream advice in between all the SEX!SEX!SEX! stuff. I don’t know it she was totally nude, but I recall nipplage. ---

One of the daughters thought she was pregnant? How did she think this happened? Didn’t she know one has to have sex before one can become pregnant? Or do the Camdens teach their kids that wicked thoughts will do the trick? ---

Ah, 7th Heaven. I loathe it but its power is unmistakable. There I will be, innocently surfing through the channels when with no warning when of those damn Camdens will pounce upon my head. I am so weighed down with fuzzy wholesomeness that I lose the strength to run, and I MUST WATCH. ---

You know, I don’t know why you’re surprised to find religious undertones in a TV show about a **minister** and his large family. Not that its a good show, but its not like the religious stuff came out of left field. –John ---
