It just makes the cut at 1989. Most of the stuff on the _Disintegration_ album – (The Cure). At least if you like the make-out mood to be mellow, relaxed… I’m partial to “Same Deep Water As You”, from that album. And don’t tell me I’m going to be the first to mention… _In Your Eyes_ - Peter Gabriel ---

Allow me to speak from 80s bandstand experience. When you’re 17 and singing in a cover band (provided it’s the mid-80s)… 1. Spot a likely girl in the audience with no readily apparent date. 2. Tell the band to start up ‘Open Arms’. Watch the roll their eyes. 3. Sing it STRAIGHT at her. 4. Segue into ‘Straight from the Heart’ by Bryan Adams. 5. Lock eyes with her. 6. Wait. Ah…good times. Good times. ---
