But, **gobear** , **pulykamell** and **Twist** … He SAID it BLOWS, and you can’t argue with that! plus, I guess Led Zeppelin didn’t do anything in the 80’s, since that would mean they blow as well, being that they did 80’s music at some point… All together now :rolleyes: ---

The Police did their best work with “Synchronicity,” that was in 1983. Eurythmics. Van Halen was much better than the average hair band. Bruce Springsteen was huge, huge huge in the 80s, and “Born in the USA” is a wonderful album. Black Sabbath was big in the 80s, and Ozzie solo, plus you had Guns 'n Roses, Aerosmith, Iggy Pop, Queensryche, Living Color, Cheap Trick… I dunno, I think there was a hell of a lot of good music in the 80s. ---

Actualy John Henry Bonham, drummer of Led Zeppelin, died September 25th, 1980… Coda, released November 19, 1982, would certainly qualify as “80s music”, and since _Poor Tom_ and _I Can’t Quit You Baby_ are from that album, and as such arguably 80s music, they too must blow… Since we can’t argue with the OP… ---

So many great artists active in the 80’s. There was certainly no shortage of bad music, but on the whole, no, they didn’t suck or blow. The Beatles are the greatest band of all time. ---

An OP of contradictions, how fascinating! Zeppelin was indeed the greatest rock band of all time, IMO, but the 80’s was hardly the worst. In general, the garbage they’re playing today is much worse than the 80’s… OMG, Devo was right!!! _runs from thread_ ---
