I turned down the sound on the opening monologue after about 30 seconds. This is not the Globes. McFarlane isn’t supposed to be Ricky Gervais. Fuck him and his insulting the actors and the movies. I’m looking out of the corner of my eye to see when he goes away and the real awards begin.

That “We Saw Your Boobs” song was pretty funny, I have to admit. I’m surprised they were able to broadcast that on public TV.
Some of the actresses mentioned didn’t look too happy.

I think that was part of the joke. That he pissed off the actresses, and that was captured in the ‘video footage’ Shatner brought back.

I hate opening monologues in general anyway. They’re never funny to me, just embarrassing and cringe-worthy.
I still have the sound down waiting for the real awards to start. Those headlines are amusing “McFarlane worst host ever”

Agreed with you there. I won’t complain if Skyfall or Suddenly win, but still, Lonely Mountain should have gotten its due.
