Well, that was a surprise. I haven’t seen Argo yet but would like to–now, even more so. Still, given my past crush on Ben Affleck, it’s really nice to see how far he’s come as a director. ---

I think Seth HAS to be a douchebag, because his face is just MADE for it. It was never really up to him. I love his brand of humor though, and I think he did a great job. Sucks for a stick-up-the ass celebrity to be nominated on the year that the academy decides to hire a prick to be host. ETA: Look at El Kabong feeling like a proper host and thanking us all for coming to his Oscar thread party. I wore my black cocktail dress and everything. ---

_Lincoln_ seemed like a mortal lock for Best Picture a month or so ago, then for whatever reason the tide started turning. I really liked _Argo_, but I was still rooting for Abe and company. ---
