OMG this in memoriam is awful. I hated the sketches. I like to see real pictures, video clips, especially of someone standing on stage with the Oscars, Emmys, etc, they won. It makes it more poignant to remember them seeing them move or at least in photographs. Have a relevant snipped of dialog or something play every now and then. This seemed so sterile. Usually I’m sobbing and right now I’m mostly annoyed. Then they had to have a song too? Like Uncle Jocko said, the song would be a great way to save five minutes every year. I do agree with the muting of audience applause. ---

It sounded like they muted the microphones during the In Memoriam segment, but some applause did bleed through. I always thought it was best to hold applause until the end, so the whole thing doesn’t turn into a popularity contest. ---
