9/11 Story-true?

According to the show in question, fake ID’s were among the items found.

Well the Bin Laden family were all allowed to leave in the days after - I believe they even made exceptions for their planes to fly in otherwise locked-down airspace.

That, I will never, ever understand. Sure, they disowned Osama, but don’t you think they might be good witnesses? Or have been lying?

They flew on September 20, seven days after the flight ban was lifted.

According to the 9/11 commission, “The FBI interviewed all persons of interest [Saudi nationals leaving the US] on these flights prior to their departures. They concluded that none of the passengers was connected to the 9/11 attacks and have since found no evidence to change that conclusion. Our own independent review of the Saudi nationals involved confirms that no one with known links to terrorism departed on these flights.”

and

“These flights were screened by law enforcement officials, primarily the FBI. For example, one flight, the so-called Bin Ladin flight, departed the United States on September 20 with 26 passengers, most of them relatives of Usama Bin Ladin… 22 of the 26 people on the Bin Ladin flight were interviewed by the FBI. Many were asked detailed questions. None of the passengers stated that they had any recent contact with Usama Bin Ladin or knew anything about terrorist activity.”

With all the conspiracy crap on the web, sifting through the crap is a pain.

Let’s say for a moment that what An Gadai** said is right or nearly right. Wouldn’t it sound just like an arm of our government to decide to withhold this bit of information from the general public to avoid causing further panic that might bring economic disaster to the airline industry?

No, it wouldn’t. Planes crashed into buildings due to the element of surprise and the fact that hijacking was never used in this manner before. Once that has been exposed, box cutters and razor blades become, essentially, ineffective because no one is going to react the same way. There is no reason to withhold info like that; it would cause no further panic among the general public.
