# 9-5pm --\> 8-4pm???

I’ve held 9 -5 jobs before, and they included paid lunches… Now I work 10-6, again, paid lunch, and man do I love the hours.

But I do remember when I thought 9-5 was the “ideal” shift - if you got a 9-5er, you were lucky. I can’t for the life of me figure out why - it basically obliterates one’s chances of being able to do anything like banking, doctor visits, etc. unless you take time off from work.
