I’m having a party and we’re doing all of those things, for sure. I started another thread asking for other ideas, but it didn’t go so well. Anyone else got anything? We’re listening to 90s songs, but that’s the only other thing I could come up with.

Well, I suppose you could have a cat o’ nine tails and use it on the people who show up late.
You could play the song, “Love Potion Number 9” and give out bottles of it.
Play poker and have 4 nines beat a royal flush that night.
I have to teach that night - my first Speech class of the quarter - and intend to have the students write their first speech, “Nine things you don’t know about me!” and present it to the class before they leave. Maybe you can ask your guests at the party to do the same - could be fun.

My birthday is on the 11th. I have a business card from the local GameStop stapled to a sheet of paper with my console of choice, the game, and a note that I’ll need a guitar controller or two, but that I don’t insist on having one of the replicas. Or I should say that I DID have such a note. It is now in the possession of my husband, because he’s always at a loss as to what to get me, and I always say that I have an Amazon wish list for a REASON, but he can’t be bothered. Well, he has Been Informed. I have even informed him where to get it, and who to buy it from, and that he can pre-order it, even.

We had goodies. Then my cousin surprised me by coming here to take me to lunch at a nice Italian place. And then I picked up my mom from surgery.
That’s the birthday so far… Oh, I did go out on Monday morning for breakfast and again that night for dinner, being treated, and I guess I’ll have to do double exercise to make up for all this eating out. But what the heck, 09 09 09 does not come around very often!
