Yup.
Yes, and along with “The woman king” represented the impact of executive pressure to lay off the story arc a little and have self contained episodes a la Star Trek TNG. Of course the story arc was the best thing about BSG, so that produced stinkers like those episodes that served no purpose.
I think that the BSG boxing episode is a little less irritating if you watch it with the thought in mind that, at long last, someone is going to punch all these people who so richly deserve it straight in the face.
Because, seriously, just about everyone in that cast needed a big ol’ punch in the face. 'Cept maybe Dee. And the Doc, who was awesome.
The same doc who openly smoked in sickbay and actually over his patients? :dubious:
You’re probably right. Been too long.
Only the last half-hour or so - the prior bits were actually quite good, I thought. I mean, are you really saying thatGalactica ramming the Cylon colony whilst taking fire from all quartersblew goats?
Oh sweet fucking Christ. I’ve never seen the second one and after reading the plot summary on Wiki…
Meh. So he gave Rosyln cancer, again.
I came back to say “the woman king? You think that was a bad episode? Are you people REALLY forgetting about the episode where the caprican doctor starts euthanizing people in galacticas cargo hold. That episode HAS to be the worst”
…then I looked up the episode and realized that was The Woman King. Jesus that episode was shit. A big pile of dump.
And again, to add insult to injury, added nothing to the wider storyline. You can not watch it and miss nothing.
Which is exactly why I spoiled the episode. Screw that episode. It doesn’t even deserve a spoiler box.
Meh. I’m a notorious anti smoker, but I was still able to appreciate what BSG was doing narratively with the smoking.
I’m still not sure if the smoking doctors in The Day the Earth Stood Still was intentional irony or not.
