Hijack: when I was in my “John Cougar Mellencamp is a rock god” phase, for about 2 weeks back when I was 11, I once wrote a sternly worded letter to People magazine for calling JCM the “poor man’s Bruce Springsteen” in a record review. I wrote “if anything, Bruce Springsteen is the rich man’s John Cougar Mellencamp.” I sure showed them. :rolleyes: ---
