I am glad that I am not the only one who hates Dave Chappelle. My white friends love love love him. I cannot understand it. I tell them if they want to be insulted by a black comedian, at least go to Richard for their needs.

Adam Sandler and his simpering Louisiana boy-accent makes me want to cry. Me and Baby Jesus.

And, wot? No mention of Bob Sagat? Not even in his stand-up. Sagat = unfunny.

Before he became famous on SNL, he had a fairly decent standup act.

He’s a great example of how fame can ruin a person.

The sad thing about today’s SNL ia that Pernell is the heavy weight. How the hell did Haratio Sanz last more that half a season? And who told the no-talent who does Bush and Zell Miller “Yeah, you’re good at impressions. You’re gonna be our new Daryll Hammond.”

They should just allow it to die a somewhat respectful death and pull the plug.

I dont’ know-he keeps saying that the woman came with the bus–he has a beard, white guy. Blech.

I second Will Ferrell–if he was the guy in Elf, the movie. Ugh and yech and blech again.
I haven’t watched SNL in years. Some say it’s good now, and some say it sucks. I say I like my sleep more (I am boring, but I’m not supposed to be funny).

I can’t think of his name, but the guy who hosts _America’s Funniest Home Videos_ and, more recently, _Dancing with the Stars_ has only very rarely even gotten close to being funny. I assume it’s his writers, not him, but even so his delivery doesn’t work. _America’s Funniest Home Videos_ seems to be hosted by America’s Least Funny comedian.

Eddie Izzard. His act reminds me of the old-time comics, from back when comedy wasn’t funny - Bob Hope, Jack Benny, Henny Youngman, etc.

Nobody’s mentioned Andrew Dice Clay? Arsenio Hall? Sinbad?

Margaret Cho. Yeah, your mom’s Korean. I get it. And you’re bi-curious. How trendy.

I never found Bill Hicks all that funny. He ranted more than anything. Kinda like George Carlin is now, come to think of it.

Bill Cosby. Even when he was young, his humor was too reactionary/Pollyanna-ish for my tastes.

Jimmy Fallon. Horrible delivery - get some confidence, bitch, you’ve been doing this for a while now.

Rodney Dangerfield and Jackie Mason - I always found it odd that their kind of Catskills schtick survived as long as it did. Same with Alan King. Similarly, David Brenner. And that hag Joan Rivers.

I’m sure I’ll think of more.

I seem to recall that he started his career as a straight actor. In one of the Dirty Harry films he played a director of low budget horror films who gets killed. Apparently he turned to comedy after becoming a regular on _In Living Color._

_The Dead Pool_, and he played a rock star (the director was someone else). In the '80s, Carrey also starred on a Canadian sitcom called \*The Duck Factory \* and appeared in \*Earth Girls Are Easy \* with Geena Davis, Jeff Goldblum, and Damon Wayans, but it was \*In Living Color \* that made him a star.

Chris Parnell did a hilarious gangsta rap on Weekend Update about his fantasy life with guest host Kirsten Dunst. I understand there was another one about Britney Spears, but I’ve not seen it.

It must be true what they say about humor being subjective because she makes me laugh so hard I have trouble breathing.

> Chris Parnell did a hilarious gangsta rap on Weekend Update about his fantasy life with guest host Kirsten Dunst. I understand there was another one about Britney Spears, but I’ve not seen it.

I am a big Chris Parnell fan, especially when he does his gangsta raps. As far as I know (and I am a pretty loyal SNL viewer), he has done three raps on Weekend Update: one for Jennifer Garner, one for Britney Spears (or perhaps Brittany Murphy, definitely a Brittany/Britney), and one for Demi Moore, that slowly turned into being about Ashton Kutcher. He’s so natural rapping, as much as a square-looking 30-something white guy can be, and it is one of his best bits. Now that Will Ferrell is gone, Parnell is definitely one of the anchors of the cast, and the go-to guy when they need a straight man.

I’m an anomaly, though – I usually like Horatio Sanz, even when he and Jimmy Fallon would crack each other up, and I enjoy everyone else on SNL too.

I think this is a brilliant insight. Put the oldest schtick in the book in a dress and call it “edgy” and people just lap it up.

Someone eluded to Larry the Cable Guy & Jeff Foxworthy, but I think it’s time they are named outright. They are atrocious.

I’d also like to add:
-Jim Davis (of Garfield fame)
-Jimmy Falon
-That Viva la Bam! guy (saw this once with my little cousin–save yourselves)
-Jeff Foxworthy (cause once isn’t enough)
-Bennie Hill
-Ellen Degeneres (I will not budge on this)
-Already mentioned, but, OF COURSE: Carrot Top
-Eddie Griffith
-Orlando Jones
