Could happen, probably not, but one never knows. I’m late to the party but am relieved there’s bacon-flavored hope! I once lived a 30-minute drive to the nearest grocery store. I had to take ice chests with me so the ice cream, etc. wouldn’t melt on the way home. I did the chicken-raising, garden-growing, canning-and-freezing thing, too, and don’t miss it a bit. If I discovered mid-recipe I didn’t have enough baking powder, it was over an hour before I could get it and get back, and the bake sale or birthday party was always the next day. Don’t miss that, either. Plus living in a remote setting with a writer with sometimes-scary mental health issues was a little too _The Shining_ for me. Beck, the new owners will probably fix the flickering light. The question is, do you _want_ to know what’s\* down that aisle? \*Probably light bulbs. ---

I’m admiring the bacon-sausage happy dancie! Piss on the cats. They can sit the dance out until feeding time! And I take a break from the regularly scheduled thread to celebrate re-entering the Internet! We got some guys refinishing our deck and _somebody_ (pause while group of people look around, innocent-like) bumped the HughesNet dish. HughesNet will be making a service call Oct 22. We have had to make a quick trip to SCal, so I won’t starve without my Internet. And Bekkers, I though you would have plenty of escargot…crawling on the greens in the garden? ~VOW ---

Drove by the store in the afternoon. Looks like workpeeps are painting inside and a big sign in a wooden crate thing is propped up by the posts. Altho’ the crate didn’t cover all the sign I couldn’t make out the new name the store is gonna called. I hope a local yokel doesn’t decide to shoot it up before it gets hung up.
