Each of my older teenage kids has a very close friend who is Trans. One is fully transitioned starting From middle school, the other has presented as asexual but just came out as FtM. The second one is in an LGBTQ shelter after being disowned by their single mom. The former has a great family situation and interned over the summer at a lab studying those newly-detected gravity waves. But they have had their deep struggles too. This is a hard issue for today. Humans seem to have the same quota of difficulty across time, but in different spots. Gender fluidity as a change at the individual and societal level is new and different and structural. Acceptance of gender fluidity is a given for the younger generations from what I am seeing. The gender fluidity issue feels like a generation gap issue. ---

If a gender poll includes pizza as an option, pizza becomes the correct option to choose. ---

Including “pizza” as an option certainly seems to demonstrate that this poll is not meant to be taken seriously. And also renders any results pretty meaningless. ---

I agree, poor statistics. Better thread would have been something mathematical. Something like, men and women, please measure your junk and tell us how long it is. Anything less than an inch is a woman, anything more than 10 inches is a lying troll. ---

The real problem with the statistics (in this poll or the “what is your sex” poll) is the likelihood that people in one population are more likely to open and reply to such a poll thread than people in another poppulation. Folks obsessed with gender and identity, if there were any such people here, might be more likely to reply. People who have been hit on or harassed elsewhere on the basis of their sex or gender might be less inclined to self-identify. ---
