Wow! It’s everyone’s birthday this week. Happy birthday, **TimeKiller**! I’ll take some ice cream pie as well. (Guess I’ll have to settle for ice cream, instead.) **swampy** : you should have been at my church today. The homily started out with a rendition of _All Things Dull and Ugly_. Honest. (Our pastor is a really good singer.) Just to the part about wasp wings, but still. Not a song you actually hear in church every day. Needless to say, I thought of you. (For the uninitiated, this is what **swampy** sings to himself every time _All Things Bright and Beautiful_ is sung in his church. I really need to vacuum. Maybe after my nap. GT ---

I have a bagless vacuum cleaner that gets emptied every time, so I’m good there. Plus I even blew out the filter. Pretty sure it’s flea free. Idiot cat downstairs is using her litter box, so that’s good anyway. Back to my knitting needles. Since there’s no ice cream pie here… ---

Ice cream pie? I’m pretty sure that’s not on my diet plan but then again, neither is the three glasses of Merlot I’ve just scarfed. Ho hum. Happy birthday **MrSoapy** and belated happies to the **Cap’n**. What? No running nekkid through the thread to celebrate? I had a fun weekend despite things not quite going to plan with 'im indoors…but it all worked out ok in the end. I cleared out my wardrobe again today (the benefits of dieting…) and have another bag full of stuff that I’ll never wear again, and a bunch of t-shirts that have been consigned to the bin. They’re t-shirts that we had made for various events so they aren’t exactly going to mean anything to anyone else, but they’re personal enough that I wouldn’t want to see them worn by complete strangers, if you see what I mean. The upshot is that I have four new tops and a pair of linen trousers, and all for the princely sum of £34. Yes, I am mean enough to leave you to do your own conversions! On the dieting plus side, I tried some trousers that are a size smaller than I wear now (and two sizes smaller than when I started this whole weight loss malarky). I got them on and got them done up but didn’t like the fit so I didn’t buy them. But getting them on was a big boost! Three glasses of wine. Does this class as a drunken post, and should I be telling you all how much I love you? ---

Uh oh … **BooFae** is making drunken posts! 😉 Yay on the new, smaller sized clothes, btw! Hope the **FCM** abode is now flea-free. _crosses fingers_ My daughter and I ventured to the farmer’s market this morning, and boy did we hit the jackpot! I spent a bit more than I had planned, but I got: green & yellow squash, tomatoes, cukes, red potatoes, peaches, blueberries and sweet cherries. I also got a package of peanut butter cookies (which were yummy). And we used the new shopping bags that my cousin made and sent me! They are terrific, although I don’t want to find out how much they can hold–I’ll keep the heavy weight stuff out of them. It wasn’t a pretty day outside, mostly overcast, but it didn’t rain and it wasn’t hot or humid, so that was a plus. And I was mobile. Mostly. 😃 **Soapy** , that ice cream pie sounds very delicious! Happy birthday to your hubby, btw. 🙂 I have some Edy’s Peach Pie ice cream in the freezer and it’s pretty tasty–I’ll just pretend it’s your yummy pie, I think. 🙂 ---

Another load of laundry in the washer. Dinner is corn on the cob, potato salad, and bacon cheeseburgers. **swampy** , I have the same problem with “O Come All Ye Faithful”. Tomorrow I shall make amends for my day of sloth by mowin’. Actually, I haven’t been totally slothful today. I washed sheets and remade the bed and washed a load of underwear, dried it and put it away. That counts for sump’n. Da cave is pretty clean since I’ve started doing things a bit at the time during the week, rather than tryin’ to clean the whole place at once. It does seem easier to keep stuff lookin’ good that way. Go Me. It rained again and looks like it might rain some more in a bit. That’s a good thing. Ok, think I’ll go be a slug in front of the teevee for a while. See y’all tomorrow! ---

Back from second stop at the grocery (first one was Whole Foods; this one was the non-exotic one that I can walk to) and a second trip out to watch bike races. (This was bike race day in my neighborhood; always fun to have the pros racing around the place.) I’m tired and will probably be a slacker for the rest of the evening. Back later… GT ---

We’re back! Happy birthdays, everyone! Gawd, it was hot. We went to the pictogaphs, and it was fascinating! I’ll take next Monday’s MMP since **FCM** has claimed tomorrow. I spent most of the time in the pool, with drink in hand. It was great to see so many of my family. It’s been too long. Anyway, I’m pooped. Yays, boos, trouts, etc… Mwah! ---
