Here’s my tale of blood clots and pulmonary emboli:
I walked out of Return of the King!

I’ve been on warfarin ever since, and probably will be for life. I’m very stable on it, so maintenance is not bad - just a monthly finger stick.

I just went over and read. Yikes! This one:

The theater staff called 911 for me. By the time the ambulance got there, I was lying on a bench in the lobby, gasping for breath, and writhing in agony. I looked up at my daughter and said “My brother… my captain… my King”. She was not amused.

had me laughing my ass off.

Fingers crossed that they do my INR via finger-poke and don’t have to draw blood–the inside of my left elbow is all oogy from the IV, and the inside of my right elbow is still bruised from the blood they drew there Monday morning before I was discharged.
