If you use whiskey in a bong for a while and then drink it do you get really wasted ? I reckon you just get bad tasting whiskey. Anybody out there ever try this ? ---

I suggest you try this yojimbo. Make sure you have used the bong a lot before you drink the whiskey. Happy puking! ---

That’s rookie stuff, in my opinion. The best thing to put in a bong is water, and change it every few bowlfuls. I know, who’s got the energy after a couple bowls. Work it into your ritual. Peace, mangeorge ---

Don’t you know better than to mix your toxins? The best thing to put in a bong is the purest water you can get, because it won’t impart any weird taste to whatever you’re smoking, and it won’t clog the screen as much. Distilled wter is the best. Even softened water leaves much residue, and any other liquid will leave you with a gummy-looking and tasting bong. Using whiskey or anything of the sort just leaves a strange taste in your mouth. ---

just a safety warning here. keep in mind that alcohol is a dangerous drug. overdoses can be fatal! And the crash after the high is almost always hard. The weed should be enough, there is no need to move on to harder drugs like alcohol. -luckie ---

I disagree singledad, I have tried many experiments with this and find the filtering properties of warm and hot water to be a bust. The best thing is to change your water often–following each bowl. ---

I tried the whiskey in the bong thing with the drinking it after I smoked about fiftten bowls and then drinking the whiskey and I don’t don’t notice anything bong with the drinking the whiskey in the bowl I mean what to mee seems like the think with the bong whiskey ion the thing so I don’t know. ---

Has anyone here actually tried this? I guarantee you will gag your lungs out if you attempt to pull a hit of smoke through wiskey. The alcohol vapor is far too harsh. ---

Terrifying effects? You mean like vegging out and listening to music? Some people get panic reactions, but they are rare and not dependent on dosage. And trust me, if your weed is 10 times more potent than the regular stuff, you’ll know it. Not only will you have paid several times the regular price for it, but it will be bright, BRIGHT green and a small bag of it will stink up your whole room without even smoking it. I don’t think anybody is in danger of mistaking Northern Lights for Mexican schwag! As to the OP, it’s worth remembering that THC is alcohol soluble. Whether the alcohol will actually absorb any THC in the brief moment that the smoke passes through it is open to debate. At any rate, you’ll essentially be drinking bongwater. 80 proof bongwater. As if the regular stuff wasn’t nasty enough… ---

First off, Alcohol is **FAR** more toxic than THC. Points: 1- ETOH(alcohol for all you ignoramuses), is metabolized in the liver, and impacts the function of the body. It is metabolized in the liver because it is a _TOXIN_. THC and it’s respective counterparts in marijuana are NOT metabolized in the liver, they are stored in fats and eliminated as need be. 2- THC(Tetra-9-hydro cannabinol for all of you who don’t know), has NEVER, **EVER** caused a fatal overdose that has ever been verified. Conversely, Alcohol will kill you single-handedly, without ever needing to touch another toxic substance, let alone getting behind the wheel of a motor vehicle. 3-Who on earth, ever in the history has ever stood by a statement like “the federal government sets limit and therefore I think its safe”,(I wish this was the pit) Give me a friggin break Margerite… And, who the hell ever said Alcohol was monitored? As for the OP, I’ve always found a little ice in the ice shamber suspended above the water cooled the burn in my lungs off and reduced the “lung butter” effect… 😃 ---

This actually reminds me of a friend of mine who accidently put methylated spirit (which had been stored in a used water bottle) into our bong thinking it was water. I only stopped him just in time before he lit it, avoiding what I’m sure would have been the biggest “hit” he’d had in his life. “An enemy of my enemy is my friend, Grasshopper.” ---

How in the world can you do that! My girlfriend and I tried using whiskey in the bong years ago. We were at a club, half drunk, went outside to the car to hit the bong and forgot that we had no water. We did have some Jack Daniels though. We used that instead. We each hit it a couple of times and about 1 minute later I threw up so violently it came out of my nose! If you can substitue whiskey for bong water I’d have to say you’re a pretty tough customer. Needs ---

I decided not to try it. Instead I drank the whiskey , put hot water in the bong ( thanks singledad ) and listened to really loud clasical music , aahh Pachelbels’ “Canon” has to be the most uplifting piece of music ever. ---

Seems like the best way I’ve used a bong is by filling it with chilled Absolut (keep it in the freezer for several days before using it). Very smooth and no harshness. GaWd, I thought it was Delta-9 tetrahydrocannabinol… ---
