Everyone in this thread more or less has expressed remorse for what happened, why can’t a couple football fans speculate on the impact to their team now that Stallworth is suspended indefinetely? Because it dishonors the dead? Moreso than the family of the victim that grabbed for the money pinata as quickly as possible? ---

My laymans legal understanding was if you were definitely drunk at the time of the accident in which you killed someone with your vehicle, it really didnt matter if it wasnt your fault or not. The theory being, if you werent drunk, barrring (maybe)\*\* extreme \*\*circumstances, you could have lessened the probability of it happening, you shouldnt have been drinking and driving in the first place, and that the law assumes you did wrong action wise because you were drinking. Guess I was wrong about that. ---

I was saying he might have gotten away with such a light sentence because (aside from first and foremost having money for a good lawyer, and having cooperated and not fled the scene) the prosecutors might’ve felt it would be hard to prove the accident was completely Stallworth’s fault even though he was very drunk. ---

I did read something akin to what you mentioned, some “Mangini doesn’t like Steinbach” story. Something to the effect that Eric wasn’t big enough like Mangini likes his linemen to be, or something. I agree about the guard contracts, too. They are getting tackle money. Shit, centers are suddenly commanding a premium as well.
