Here’s an NPR site w/ a night view of the Earth provided by NASA. There are several choices for download… I’m on dialup, so I used one of the smaller ones, but even that is impressive. I’ll bet the bigger ones are much better. I found the dark areas to be as interesting as the distribution of lights. The article on light is interesting also. Worth a look, IMHO. I was going to say - NASA? How big is _your_ asshole?! Or you might have meant to say “here’s a view of dark areas of the Moon”… ---

The ginormous GIF would be interesting but my work computer doesn’t have nearly enough RAM to process it. I could do it on my home computer – just (I was able to view a similarly-sized pic of the Orion Nebula) but it doesn’t look nearly as pretty as the JPEG. Cool image though. ---
