A Bunch of nervous Nellies who don't feel safe eating in a Sonic where they can't carry guns.

And that is why you are a psychopath.

Learn. Or frantically deny and ignore, whichever.

You realize that we would still have cops right?

If you could show a higher incidence of shooting and gun crime as a result of legal carry, I would be inclined to take your hyperventilation seriously but everything we have read shows that people with carry permits are more law abiding than the average citizen and that gun crime does NOT increase as more carry concealed permits are issued (and some people argue that crime goes down).

You don’t have 300 million guns floating around in circulation.

That wouldn’t be true in the USA, not for many decades and several generations.

For some of these guys there is not.

Would we really have invented sharp pointy sticks just to help us kill our food and defend ourselves from predators? Next you’ll tell me we didn’t discover fire to commit arson.

Yeah, then I’d probably be OK with it. I’d probably want cops carrying them too. The point behind using a gun in self defense is to defend yourself not to kill the other guy. The only time I ever felt that threat of lethal force was important was during the LA riots when it was a deterrent. I’m not sure being stunned for 15 minutes would have had the same deterrent effect (and we didn’t end up killing anybody).

Yeah, that’s a pretty stupid response and you should go to jail if you consistently skip out on tabs in parts of the country where people carry guns on a regular basis.

Would you like them to send you a copy of the law that makes shooting you illegal? Or are you concerned that legal gun owners are going to go on a rampage at Denny’s? And how do you know that the guy wasn’t a plainclothes cop?

And you think its a grave enough risk to run out on your check?

So what. Hobby Lobby doesn’t cover contraceptives for their employees. Does this mean society is with THEM?

A democratic society has elections to express the will of the people and those elections result in laws. And those laws say exactly what bricker is saying.

/sigh. Perhaps i should have been more clear.

I was asking for a cite that the second amendment used to mean what RTfirefly implies it used to mean. We’ve had this discussion before and all you guys have been able to point to is Miller and Miller is a relativle recent case in the history of America.

Frantic denial, as expected.

I realize I’m late to the party (lots of schoolwork, almost done!), but I already addressed this, at least indirectly.

In other words:

Here is a hammer for sledging, here is a hammer for killing people.

Here is a gun for hunting, and here is a gun for killing people.

Which is for fighting and which is for fun?

So nothing? Thats what I thought. This is why your arguments never seem to last very long in great debates. Its all appeal to emotion, insults and small penis

Where the hell do you get this notion about what happens in GD? From the voices in your head?

Let us know when you’ve found a therapists.

Exactly. That is why I told the families of the victims to quit being a bunch of poncey wimps and stop crying. You’d think that the world owed them a living, or something.

With apologies to the families of the victims, there have been firearms massacres since Colt invented his revolver. What’s different today is that we used to blame individuals for doing evil deeds, and now we blame society at large for somehow either causing it or not preventing it. Is everything now a matter of statistical epidemiology?

I for one would be completely freaked out if someone carried a sledgehammer into a restaurant that I was in. There’s something wrong with a person that would do that.

What about some breasts? “Topless Women Troll Open Carry Event in Austin, TX”:

This whole thing was kinda funny.

The open carry group was taking its monthly stroll around the Capitol building. They were confronted by 3 or 4 topless women. There was some arguing between the two groups. The open carry group at one point tried to duck into a restaurant to get away from the women (I guess).

The open carry group claimed the women were from an anti open carry group called MDA, or Moms Demand Action. The topless women said they were not from MDA.

The open carry group called the topless women “skanky topless libtards” and “provocateurs” but were most upset by the fact that topless women got top billing on the news that night, instead of the open carry group.
