In any case, the real problem would be getting more than one older established comedy actor in a single program. They wouldn’t want to do it, and it would cost too much to hire them to make the program profitable.

I suppose you could get a bunch of once-great, now-obscure comedians and actors to team up and do something but it wouldn’t last and the writing would have to be pretty spectacular to get a younger audience to engage. If you do “classic” humor (sketch or otherwise) you run the risk of all the jokes being obvious and cliched (see pretty much anything Mel Brooks has done since Blazing Saddles).
