Because there’s no minute like the last one… Trying to come up with a business name, and cobble together a bit of social media, before Tuesday. So far, the names in the running are: The Old and the Beautiful A Checkered Past The Old Curiosity Shop Sugarbakers. Any thoughts here? (Booth in antique mall) ---

Good Mornin’ Y’all! Up and caffeinatin’. _YAWN_ ‘Tis 63 Amurrkin out and cloudy with a predicted high of 86 and mostly N.O.S. for the day. TWPTB say Sattidy’s high will be 88. We’re either in early Summer or mid Fall ‘round these parts it seems. Anywho, today is smokeage day. The \ Butts! \ and \ Boobs! \ are settin’ out on the kitchen counter (in pans actually, not on the counters per se) to room temp up somewhat. As soon as I have enough daylight to see out I shall warm up some water for the smoke pan and get all the meat in the smoker to begin. Excitatin’ day ahead! **Peaches** I suppose “Here’s Some Old Crap I’m Tryin’ To Get Rid Of” would be right out as a name? 😃 I’m likin’ “The Old and the Beautiful.” An Episcopal Healing Service is basically prayer and anointin’ with Oil of Chrism by a Priest or Deacon, and the Laying on of Hands, even though a lay person with the “Gift of Healing” can do so as well. This can be done on behalf of a person who is ill as well as for someone who personally requests to be anointed. For me it’s a very moving and spiritual service which can be done itself or as part of a church service such as Holy Eucharist. I’ll see if I can dig up a link to “The Litany of Healing” from the Book of Common Prayer. OK, I need more caffeine and rumbly tummy wants sustenance. Then I shall began smokeage and at some point I suppose I should purty up a bit even though I have no intention of leavin’ da cave today. However, I may go up the road to the Subway as I kinda got a gnawin’ and a cravin’ for a Subway sammich for N.O.L. Happy Thursday Y’all! ---

Well dangit! The Online BCP won’t let me link to a specific part. Thus I shall provide a link to the BCP. Click on the link for Pastoral Offices (for some reason it takes you to a link that says “Pastoral Offices” and you have to click on that as well) and then click on the link for “Ministration to the Sick” and you can see what the Healing Service is like. It’s one of the Sacraments (at least in the RCC, some other churches have less Sacraments than we do), y’all may have heard of it before as “last rites”. There’s no expectation of Godly or minion-ly intervention, but a priest who was a friend of my family’s had some customers who’d gotten last-rited a couple dozen times. The doctor would say “ufff… it looks bad… call the Father…”, the priest would go in, do his prayer’n’blessing, and two days later the old man who’d been looking so bad would be sunning on a chair beside the door again. As the priest liked to say, “well, it’s supposed to be ‘for the health of body and soul’!” ---

Smokeage has begun! Four \ Butts! \ and sixteen large chikin \ Boobs! \ are in the smoker as I post. Good thing I have plenty of freezer space cause it will be needed. **Nava** healing (Unction) is a rite of the Episcopal church as well. Last Rites is designed specifically for those who are dying and is different from the Litany of Healing. We’re not complete heathens. 😃 ---

Happy Thorsday! Another chilly day. It’s cloudy and supposed to rain. I have to go out to get groceries today, and fill up the gas tank while I’m at it. I ordered some jingle balls for the cat, he is getting bored and the feather on a pole toy is not keeping his interest. He kept me up last night walking around the house crying. I know he wants to go outside but too bad. **Peaches** How about Mama’s Attic (Basement/Garage/Barn/Hoard)? I don’t want to wake up this morning but I have to. ---

All that meat smokin’ away on my deck smells sooooooooo gooooooooood!!! I’ll be takin’ the \ Boobs! \ up in about an hour as they will be done. I’ll give the \ Butts! \ another couple of hours. They won’t be all the way done but that’s OK cause I like to finish cookin’ 'em in the oven. They are fall apart tender that way. YUM! Now I’ve made myself hongry so I shall take myself to the Subway for a sammich. ---

**red** don’t worry about **doggio’s** spice rack. I think he has some kind of alphabetical/color coded/date of freshness/spiciness system he uses. Da cave smells like smoked animal flesh. YUM! I have \ Butts! \ and \ Boobs! \ all wrapped up and packaged save for two \ Boobs! \ for tonight’s dindin and one \ Butt! \ for Sattidy. When they are cooled a bit they will go in da freezer for later consumption. When smoker is cooled down I shall spray it down. Smoker cleanage will commence tomorrow. **red** why do you need to change before votin’? I’m sure they’ve seen weirder at your pollin’ place. ---

Here in Oreegone, it is raining. Girl child and I both have migraines, so I shall shortly be napping. I just had a handful of candy from the bag I bought for trick or treating. I have small furry cats for company. I shall now be resting my eyes. The polls are narrowing again. Back from grocery shopping and getting gas. I still have to put the canned/bottled stuff away. The rain let up while we were out, nice of Mother Nature to cooperate that way. The cat, still unnamed, doesn’t like the jingle balls. I thought he would since he likes to bat around crumpled paper. ---
