The SDMB staff has been debating some changes in the rules for the Pit, and it’s become apparent we have some philosophical differences. Accordingly, **giraffe** has resigned and **fluiddruid** has requested reassignment to the Game Room, which we’ve done. For the time being, the Pit will be moderated by me, **Gfactor** , and **LynnBodoni**. I hasten to say the resignation and reassignment request were voluntary and the discussion that preceded them was thoughtful; we were simply headed in different directions. **Giraffe** has been a a valued member of the SDMB community for many years; I hope he will remain so for many more, and am grateful for his long service as a mod. We’re still discussing the Pit rule changes and I hope to have more to say this week.
