Whoops, I should also add that the piano like all equally tempered instruments is not really in tune. It is a standardized tuning where everything is equally out of tune with itself. That way you can play pieces in all the different keys without going back and retuning the instrument. I doubt this would have had much effect on a harpsichord because you pretty much have to retune it everytime anyway.
