A classic car as a daily driver?

Ha! My 1970 Mustang had drum brakes. If you drove it through a deep puddle, you had to pump the brakes a couple of times to clear the water out so the car would stop.

A fair cop. I think I tried to measure the gas mileage on my Mustang (which had the bottom-of-the line 2-barrel 302; it wasn’t even really a muscle car), and it got something like 12-15 mpg.

Holy crap. I once went to Blockbuster (I know, I’m dating myself) to grab a movie for me and my girlfriend when it looked like it was going to be a cold and snowy night, and I didn’t think I was going to get home. Rear-wheel drive + almost no weight over the rear axle = almost undriveable in slippery conditions.

Yup again. But also easy to work on.
