It is 3:27am right now. Five minutes ago I was typing a response to another thread when a freaking cockroach crawled from behind my monitor onto the keyboard. After initially freaking out I regained my cool and flushed the thing down the toilet. I’m seeing bugs everywhere now and I can’t stop thinking if that bug was the manifestation of my feelings of despair and emptiness. Morning can’t come fast enough. ---

The other night, I was going through a drive-through, picking up a couple of burgers, with a friend. While sitting at the window, a huge cockroach appears on the windowsill. I tried to thump it out the window, but it jumped into the car instead. My friend freaked out, jumped out of the car, and said she was going to walk home. I opened the doors and tried to locate it (to get it out) but no sign. My friend got back in the car warily, and rode with feet hoisted up on the dashboard. I told her, “I think I’ll name it.” “Randy. Randy the Roach.” ---

**Eve** is definitely on to something. Perhaps this is the secret of JK Rowling’s success? A caseload of roaches let loose on the keyboard, and voila! A new Harry Potter book is born! (may require some humanoid editing before publishing) ---
