[I started this thread](http://boards.straightdope.com/sdmb/showthread.php?p=17313363#post17313363), and two people have posted that they can’t see the link in my OP, nor a spoiler put in by someone else a couple of posts down. ---

I can see and successfully go to the link. And I can see the spoiler. Could the problem be on their end? ---

It’s not a problem with the SDMB. I initially could not see the link, so I temporarily disabled Adblock Plus for the SDMB and reloaded the page. Then I could see the link. So on my computer at least, it’s definitely Adblock Plus that’s filtering the link off. ---

A quick test suggests AdBlock for Chrome is blocking the link, for whatever reason. ---

I didn’t bother to mention it in that thread, but you can add me to the list of people who didn’t see the link or anything in the spoiler box. At all. To me, the first line of the OP looks exactly like this: _“From the makers of Fleshlight, now there’s the .”_ And clicking the _“Show”_ button for the spoiler box changes absolutely nothing except toggle the button to then say _“Hide”_ On a possibly related note, I’ve also been getting the thing where you click the “Quote” button to reply with a quote, and the new reply page that appears is completely blank with no sign of the post you wanted to quote. That’s all with the latest version of FF with Adblock, NoScript, & Ghostery. Same exact result with Chrome with just Adblock. Sorry, I’m much too paranoid to disable any of my prophylactic add-ons 'round these parts. ---

\*\*engineer\_comp\_geek \*\*is correct. Using Chrome v. 34.0.1847.116 on Windows 7, with Adblock Plus 1.7.4 here. Extension enabled, no link. Extension disabled, link shows up. ---

Adblock is blocking the link. I can see it fine if I turn off Adblock (FF28)
