Lord, is it HOT! I’m supposed to be making chili for the trip, but I’m going to have to wait a bit. It’s 84 in my house and about 10 degrees warmer outside. Fortunately, hubby took pity on me and took me and our son to Red Robin, so at least I didn’t have to cook. After that we went to the grocery store, and then we came home. ---

One hour till Quit O’go… I like “summer hours”, on Friday we quit at lunchtime. The movie theater that’s 200 yards from my house has noontime sessions on Saturday and Sunday, I like that because it’s a time that’s both convenient and easy to remember. ---

Blurf. Happy Firday, y’all. I face my annual opthamologist appointment late this afternoon. It’s severely cutting into my usual Firday afternoon slothage. The Foomobile is still behaving admirably. That’s good, because I have an early morning trip to Kinston Sunday (yup, no services this week, either) for Fahr Skool, and it’s 100 miles one way. The hot topics \ are Foam Fire Streams and Building Construction. The BC class is a make up session for the one they screwed me out of last month. :mad: 🆒 Carry on. If there is another Fire School Charlie Foxtrot this time, carrion. ---

I cut the Methodists some slack, but it’s been a family and church tradition to pick on the Baptists. Such as: How do you perform a proper Lutheran baptism? You fill the baptism font full of beer, then you take the baby and hold it under. If it drinks the beer, it’ll grow up to be a good Lutheran. Otherwise, if it drowns, well, it was going to be a Baptist anyway. 😉 😃 ---

With a Holyrollercoaster and a burger stand named Singe Boldly. The waterpark next door we were going to leave to the Baptists. 😃 Remember, the Catholics don’t recognize protestant theology, Lutherans don’t recognize the supremacy of the Pope and Baptists don’t recognize each other at Hooters. 😃 ---

Of course we go home and talk about that rotgut whiskey we saw ol’ so and so buyin’. Ok I have accomplished cleanin’ my bathroom and cleanin’ the countertops and sink in the kitchen. I may do more. A new domestic crisis has emerged at the VunderLair. A red fox has decided that my front bushes are the jakest place to die, much to the delight of the VunderPack. I’m at work, and can’t do anything about it from 50 miles away. My neighbor Doug from the B&B across the road has now shot it, and put it out in one of the leantos for me to bury after I get home from the opthamologist tonight. He is demanding a dozen jars of homemade salsa as payment for his services. ---
