WOWCrack Roommate owes $410 in this month’s rent + last month’s remaining late bit. He shoved one (1) $100 under the bathroom door when Complicated was in there. :mad: Proceedings are beginning. :mad: He also says he’s not steroidal. I say he’s a damn liar because he’s bulked up awful quick for someone who’s au naturel. Cannot WAIT for New Roommate to move in. New _childless_ roommate who won’t throw my cups in the trash and then claim she didn’t do it. Yeah, I came home to that, too. ---

Well, so TVMan read and responded to my thread. His response is, um, interesting. But, actually I think that his having read it all helped. And, he tends to read stuff like that and it sort of sinks in gradually. We shall see. ---

ETA: your post reminds me that I haven’t read your thread yet, **Pie.** :: goes off to read thread :: I’m growing tomatoes in containers, **Taters** ; it’s easy. I’ve eaten my first two; one cherry tomato and one pear-shaped yellow one. They were slightly underripe, but I couldn’t wait any longer. I’m hoping the chipmunks won’t steal all of them this year. I’ve sanded the woodwork around the bedroom window and started to sand the baseboards and floor. Unsurprisingly, I’m already sick of the project already, but I’ll persevere. My brother and his kids are coming for the weekend in two weeks, so I need to be done and have the room put back together by then. I’m sure I’ll be done painting by then, but I’m not sure how many coats of polyurethane are going on the floor and how long they’ll need to dry. That’ll be fun. So the ribs tasted awesome. I threw together a dry rub made with brown sugar, paprika, dry mustard, salt, garlic powder, pepper, chili powder, a touch of nutmeg and a touch of cayene and some dried onion flakes. I would have used onion powder instead of the flakes, but I didn’t have any. **Mr. Taters** and my daughter just raved over them. My son wasn’t here to have any, but we put some aside for him. **Spaz,** it sounds like you can’t rid of WoWCrack roommate soon enough. He sounds slightly scary, actually. \*\*gt, \*\* the problem with container gardening for me is that I’m bad about watering. I used to be religious about making sure all my potted plants and containers were watered, but in the last couple of years, I kept forgetting. I’d ask my kids to water and they’d forget. So, for now, container gardening is out. It’s a simple enough thing, but it seems I’m always dashing here or there or everywhere and simple things like that just keep getting pushed aside. ---

I’m home y’all - I went out with **Technogeek Daddybear** (I hope that my naming convention is consistent but I’m too lazy to go check) and one of his friends to see a movie, and that’s it. Also, from Arkadelphia -\> Hot Springs is about a 30 minute drive, from Hot Springs -\> Benton is about 30 minutes, and from Benton -\> Arkadelphia about 45 minutes. He drove FROM Hot Springs to pick me up (even though I could have driven out there, then we went back to Hot Springs, picked up friend, drove to Benton, watched the movie, then he dropped me back off in Arkadelphia, then presumably took friend home. A total of 30+30+30+45+30 minutes = 2 hrs 45 min, when I could have just as easily driven my ass out to Hot Springs and back. Whatever, I didn’t have to spend a dime on gas. Everyone though, what’s the deal with the weird talking? I don’t get any of it! ---

Re: Nava’s TMI Some parents tell too much, and other times you learn things in odd ways. I know too much about my Dad’s love life, because he asks for advice. I don’t know how I feel about that. Kinda sad that he doesn’t have anyone but his daughter to ask advice on women, kinda annoyed cuz I don’t want to hear it all (found out a little more than I’d like to know… not so much the how but the 2 women in his life and everything between all of them… especially since I know all parties involved and one is married to another man…) **Spaz** sounds like you’d be well rid of WOWCrack roomie. Hope you can get him out with a minimum of fuss (I’ll keep my fingers crossed). Just got back from a 3 hour cruise with my pals. We wandered halfway to Banff and back. Cruising is fun. No animals though, good cuz we didn’t have to avoid them but bad because it would’ve been neat to see night life. The moon looked really cool back lighting the mountains too. Shame I didn’t have my camera but meh. Now its time to crash. Plan tomorrow? Sleep in a little, brunch, then recycle cardboard… that’s it. Just chill otherwise, some random cleaning. ---

Howdy all. Sorry for the absence, but I had the same problem **Mork** had last week. The new M$ security patch downloaded and installed, which caused some kind of “AAAggghhhhh!” problem with ZoneAlarm, leading to a laptop which refused to communicate with the router, but still insisted that there was nothing wrong with the LAN connection! So, my laptop was effectively sitting there with its proverbial fingers in its metaphorical ears, singing “LALALALALALALAAAAA! Nothing’s wrong, nothing’s wrong, nothing’s wrong, LALALALALALALALAAAA!” But before I could do a system restore, I needed to get a new portable hard drive and do a full back-up. That took me until yesterday. So I was without internets at home from Wednesday until Saturday evening! ☹☹☹ But now (thanks primarily to remembering **Mork** ’s post), we are back online at home, and I am back in the office wasting time!!! 😃 **Bonkeydear** , I don’t get it either - I think it’s some kind of esoteric, geeky, literary cipherspeak! 😉 I read the TMIs and am not in the mood to respond, mainly because my own TMI, in combination with the previous TMI posts, is really making my cringe! How did I make it all the way through pregnancy with no problems at all, but now end up with haemorrhoids??? ☹☹ So the thought of fisting just makes my eyes water uncontrollably, and my anal sphincter goes into spasms!!! ---

Yup, I’m up in the middle of the night. At least it’s the weekend, right? 🙂 If it’s any consolation, **DonkeyBear** , I don’t get the strange talk either … except the last one from **Rosie** , which might be from a Star Trek Next Generation episode. I definitely don’t know about the rest of em! About TMI - my Dad is one who I’ve had issues with him sharing wayyyy TMI, especially about his sex life. My parents divorced when I was an adult, with my Dad coming out of the closet as a gay man as well–that was 30 years ago, though. But there were many times over the years when he’d just share totally TMI about himself and it upset me. It’s not so bad any longer; I think he knows where the line for TMI is with me now, and usually does not go beyond it. Usually. 🙂 BTW, I would have been just as unhappy if my Mom had shared that sort of stuff about her hetero self. Just to be clear there. 🙂 Time to try to get back to sleep. 🙂 ---

Good morning, world! Just FYI, and strangly appropriate for part of this thread, I got an email from a friend with a link to a Yiddish/Hebrew survey. For non-Jews, it’s pretty short, since the email said it’d take about 15-20 minutes and I was done under 5. Anyway, I’m not gonna spam or even post it here, but if you’re interested, PM me and I’ll share the link. And knock off the Trek talk - that was a stupid episode. 😛 Daughter got home around 8 last night, and neither of us heard the doorbell ringing, nor did the dogs (I forgot and left the front door locked.) I saw her walking past the family room window on her way to the back door. So I fed her non-camp food and she showered and crashed. This has been a rough week for her - in fact, the whole camp experience has been quite an education. Five weeks to go, and I expect she’s counting the minutes already. SIL will get back some time today, then leave for his job at 2. He’s also working tomorrow at 6PM - so yay for him. As usual, the rest of the household is crashed. I think I need some caffeine. Gonna be a busy day again. rah. ---
