I might have 1-2 days worth of time after a meeting in central Toronto … what are things to do / to see? - Ideally to be reachable with public transport (how is P.T. in Toronto?) I am open to all kinds of things so just throw things out … ---

The CN Tower was pretty cool. So is the Hockey HoF if you’re a fan. ---

Toronto is home to lots of Broadway-style shows. Or perhaps you’d prefer seeing Second City. Too bad Blue Man Group is no longer there. Take a boat excursion from the quays into the lake for some great city views. ---

I second some of the suggestions so far – Royal Ontario Museum, Hockey Hall of Fame, CN Tower (the view is amazing and the glass floor up there is a bit scary), and there is great live theater. If so inclined, you might be able to take in a Jays game. A boat cruise on the lake is nice but it’s still a bit chilly at this time of year. There are all kinds of great restaurants. If you’re of a zoological mindset, the Toronto Zoo is world class, but it’s a bit of a trek from downtown. ---

its next weekend … (It’s business travels, for an international group of people, and it is a longstanding relationship, so I have a hunch, there might be some “surprise social activities” afterwards). I am just trying to cover my bases if there were no other activities planned. New Q: **Are there any electric-scooter rentals (the one’s on street-corners, like Lime, etc…) in Toronto?** ---

There are e-bike and e-scooter rentals available in Toronto. I’ve never used them so can’t comment. When you say central Toronto, are you going to be north of the downtown? Downtown roughly means Bloor Street and south, bounded by Bathurst on the west and the Don Valley on the east. Most of the suggestions so far are in that area. Another 2 museums, both within a few minutes walk from the Royal Ontario Museum, are the Gardiner Ceramic Museum and the Bata Shoe Museum. For a funky shopping / eating experience there’s the Kensington Market, the St. Lawrence Market and the Distillery District. The later has 3 micro-breweries and a sake distillery. ---

If the weather is nice, a walk along West Queen West (yes, a dumb name) and through Trinity-Bellwoods Park or Bloor West and High Park (Toronto’s version of Central Park) is nice. Foodies always enjoy St. Lawrence Market. ---

Not needed, you can tap any contactless credit card or phone to pay. It’s CAD $3.30 for up to 2 hours of travel. ---
