I’m not sure if its used everywhere, but I have a friend who constantly uses meh in her conversations. Sometimes I find her “Meh” usage totally out of context. So I must ask my fellow dopers, what is a definition for Meh? ---

“Meh” is the new “whatever” of the day, only without the valley girl/bougeoise tone. It’s apathy at its most… apathetic. ---

Peh is a slightly more disgusted/disgruntled version of meh. I’m fond of peh, myself. ---

**Meh** : 1 cup of _Wirra_ 2 Tbsp. _Oy_ 1 sprig _Ugh_, finely chopped _Alas_, to taste Mixed thoroughly, working out any lumps. Coddle for an hour. Let sit overnight. Serve cold. ---

I generally use “meh” to mean. “Whatever I’m referring to is not only not good, it’s so completely unimpressive I can’t even be bothered to hate it.” ---

I use a more whiney form, the “mjeh”, which has become popular in Sweden. It is sligthly less apathetic then the “meh” and a bit more negative. ---

Not a definition, but the OP reminded of this: A friend’s sister got a “Meh” instead of an “I do” from her husband at their wedding… Of course, now “meh” has become an inside joke ---
