We were still taking care of our callers, but several, including me, really don’t care much about bureaucratic trivia like hitting all three points when pitching something. “We have a week left, so so what?” seems to be a pretty common POV. The “care about the QA and administrivia” meter seems to be running at “half past give a damn” for many. Bonus points for having to come to irk on Eastern time, since we’re in California. Slow day, too, since the new center in another state is coming up to speed. As far as one sup thinks, we’re now the “overflow” if the calls are too heavy for the other two to handle. ---

**flytrap** and **sunny** , crack broccoli is broccoli roasted with lemon, olive oil, garlic and almonds, then gererously sprinkled with freshly grated parm right out of the oven. It’s very addictive, hence the name. The party was awesome! It was like a venn diagram of the birthday boy’s friends. The music ranged from old pop and country the first set, smooth jazz for set two, funky horn band stuff, and the last set Irish and folk. He’s a musician who plays in both a funky horn band and a Celtic one. There were also some very talented swing dancers (his hobby outside of music). Plenty of food and alcohol (we set up designated drivers ahead of schedule) and a good time was had by all. I’s headed to bed now because I’s tahred. ---

I had to leave the house at dark (1/2 hour before dark:30) to make my desired choo-choo (which I’m currently on) to Appletown. I didn’t wanna get outta the shower because the thermo was still in night mode, which means the house was chilly. Under a blankie it’s warm enough, nekkid & wet, not so much. I’m gonna (try to) take a nap now. ---

We got a second estimate to do the yard work - the guy was $700 higher than the first one and he couldn’t start for 4 weeks. So we decided to go with the first (never did hear from the 3rd) and he says he can come today! I wasn’t in that much of a hurry, but if he and his crew are willing to work with soggy leaves and such, more power to them. It’s obvious English isn’t his first language - he said they’d come today if we wanted to “getter done” 😃 Not that I care - I just want my gardens ready for me to do some serious transplanting work. The lilies are crowding out the azaleas in one bed, so I want to move them to less congested spaces. When they get everything cleaned and mulched, I’ll have a better idea of what I can do and where I can do it. Meanwhile, today is work-on-the-paint-shed-day. We’re going to try to get the walls all covered. Then the roof fan needs to go in before we put up the ceiling panels. No clue how much we’ll get done today - it all depends on **FCD** ’s knees. He just pushes himself too far sometimes and he refuses to listen to his pain till he can barely move. He’s such a guy!!! For the moment, he’s snoozing and I’m caffeinating. Happy Saturday!! ---

Good Mornin’ Y’all! Up and caffeinatin’. _YAWN_ ‘Ts 55 Amurrkin out and clear with a predicted high of 85 and N.O.S. for the day. The big plan today is to work on the cee-mint pond. The pine trees are done with their orgy for the year so I shall depollenize (is too a word!) the cee-mint pond. If’n all goes to plan it shouldn’t take more than a couple or three hours to get everything lookin’ right. Still too cold to get in IMO but it will look good. Other than that, not a whole lot else will happen. Except for the poke tenderloin in the slow cooker, that is and the makeage of sweet and unsweet tea. Tomorrow is brunch Sunday over to the church house and the poke and tea shall be our contributions. Burgers and fries shall be dindin. Now I need more caffeine and rumbly tummy demands sustenance. The yard guys arrived not quite an hour ago and they’ve mostly cleared the leaves away - yay! I told them they could just dump the leaves in our woods. I’ll be glad to see the ratty junipers gone and once the gardens recover from the blowers, I can see what I have and what needs to be transplanted. Next week. Or maybe tomorrow. We shall see. I’ve also made a cut list for the wall panels so when my sweetie gets back from Lowe’s with the exhaust fan, we can start cutting the panels to length. Meanwhile, I have some time to kill. Yay for the Intertubez!!! ---

After a ham sammich lunch, we went back out and put up 2 more panels, then \*\*FCD \*\*declared his back to be dying, so we cleaned up and quit. We took a look at the work these guys have done so far - it’s great!! They’re on lunch break and I’m thinking I need to assume the afghan position with some Netflix.
