By some horrible mistake, I ordered _A Dirty Shame_ from Netflix and watched for a while last night, then gave up. This has to be the stupidest movie I’ve ever had the misfortune to watch, even worse than _White Chicks_ , which is saying a lot. I suppose some 12-14-year old boys might think it was pretty funny, but anybody else like it? Any nominations for movies that are even worse? ---

I’ve always thought \*Against All Odds \* was pretty much the worst flick I’ve ever seen. It’s been a while, but I could swear there were a couple of shots at the beginning where an overhead mike was visible in the frame. ---

Have you see _House Of The Dead_? It’s difficult imagining anything worse. (I haven’t seen _A Dirty Shame_) ---

…Well… Have you seen a John Waters movie before? If not that’s the first problem. By the way… I think House of the Dead is AMAZINGLY terrible. It is one of the best worst movies… Ambush your friends with it… and make them watch until atleast the 12 minute gun fight with the zombies. ---

I always thought The Hot Chick with Rob Schnieder was the worst movie ever made, and this is coming from a guy who loves the majority of Adam Sandler movies. This is a movie that made literally more than half the viewers in the theater _fall asleep_. Horrible, just horrible. ---

_Battlefield Earth_, it’s an allegorical story about Scientology, and the freakin’ Scientologists who produced the movie **didn’t get it!** If _that_ doesn’t set some kind of high water mark for badness, I don’t know what does. ---

If you want a more recent movie, how about _High Tension._ The French may be able to do a lot of things, but making a decent slasher/horror movie ain’t one of them. ---

You people…::sigh:: It has been canonically established that _Oscar_, with Sylvester Stallone, narrowly edges out _Highlander 2_ as the worst movie ever made. _Manos, Hands of Fate_, _Glitter_, and _Hercules In New York_ are way down there too. Regarding _Casino Royale_…I have no words to describe it’s awfulness. As for _Jaws: The Revenge_ (about which someone will sooner or later make the selection), lead actor Michael Caine said this; “I have not seen it, but by all accounts it is dreadful. I have, however, seen the house it built, and it is magnificent.” _Against All Odds_ is certainly repugnant and a totally uncalled for remake of the terrific Robert Mitchum film-noir _Out of the Past_, but it does have Rachael Ward in her prime. The Phil Collins-voiced title song is enough to put one off, though. As for John Waters…all of his films are awful. Just awful. If they weren’t, he wouldn’t make them. I believe that is his official stance on the issue. Stranger ---
