A Disco-Bot Test Thread

Being promoted to Trust Level 3 involved having made or read a certain number of posts in a given time. Once the settings were changed, people gradually lost that status as that time limit expired. Discourse also uses the number of likes to assign that status, but since the likes were disabled for regular posters that criterion seems to have been ignored. As far as I can tell, getting likes from discobot had nothing to do with being granted Trust Level 3; there were many more people at that level than have ever received likes by discobot. However, it is possible that likes expire; discobot is shown as having given 44 likes, but only 26 posts are shown as having been liked.

So is @discobot back to ignoring people again?

Stupid, smarmy, rustbucket.

I disagree. If @discobot gets too big for its britches now, then apocalypse is just around the corner.

Stoopid robot.

I was wondering if you could use likes from discobot as a loophole to reach trust level 3, but apparently it’s necessary to give a certain number of likes as well.

And I kind of wish likes were allowed, and any effects of them blocked instead. Sometimes I want to ‘like’ a post, but it’s not worth commenting just to say so.

Now I believe discobot actually is sentient. You guys just need to earn his respect before he recognizes you.

Hi! To find out what I can do, say @discobot display help.

I for one welcome our new Disco Bot overlords.

I’m sorry, it is mathematically impossible to roll that combination of dice. :confounded:

But you can roll a d1? What’s that, a sphere?

@discobot roll 2d57
