…is to make me cry repeatedly. I saw the trailer for this [movie](http://www.imdb.com/title/tt1753383/) today when I went to see **Bridget Jones’s Baby** and began crying. And then I started crying when I saw the poster on the way out of the theatre. And again looking the movie up on [Imdb.com](http://Imdb.com) & Wikipedia. And again while pottying my 17 year old miniature dachshund when I got home (who was very confused, but happy when I fed him a slice of cheese). And I also starting crying while posting this. It doesn’t come out until late January so that’s 4 for months of this trailer showing up. I’m going to have to start carrying multiple packs of tissues with me to the movies. ---

Yeah. I recall one along these lines that “Dogs are here to provide humans with an example [of how to be all these good things]… unfortunately, humans don’t learn as fast as dogs.” Excuse me, the Dane puppy is eating the floor again. It’s like living with a damned rototiller. ---

Looks like the movie skips “Toby’s” first life as a stray, and goes right into Bailey the Golden. And in the spirit of the website listed above, the human dies at the end, not the dog. ---

I’m bumping this because the TV ads have starting airing for this move. Some of which are _highly_ misleading given the content. It should be interesting when film is actually released. ---

Does anyone else every time they see the movie’s title think of the “special purpose” [lines from Steve Martin’s _The Jerk_](https://www.google.com/#q=%22the+jerk%22+%22special+purpose%22), where “special purpose” meant his penis, and thus always think of _A Dog’s Purpose_ as a dog’s penis? No? Now you will. ---
