Wow! I went snowboarding today–okay, more like falling down a mountain. But I’m sensing we’d need a little “civilization” for this kind of DopeFest. Proposal #2: I’ll find a cabin, and those that simply _must_ be indoors :rolleyes: 😉 overnight can stay in the cabin, while the rest of us grizzled woodsmen and woodswomen will tent around the cabin. Camp/Bonfire still present, but at least that way we’ll have 'lectricity for folks and shelter should the wildlife decide to film a session of “When Animals Attack II”. So, we’ll go a campin’, but you can stay in a cabin, a tent, or bring an RV or popup trailer. Location aside for now, I’ll do a little preliminary investigatin’. But what else should we bring? And for how long? Heck, anyone got a satellite internet connection? 😃 Tripler I’ll most definitively get started on a “Camp Cecil” flag. ---

Dude, you are going on a ‘bidness trip’ and then you wanna go CAMPING? I know the Air Force Corporation tends to keep their employees nice and comfy whenever possible, but won’t you be slightly ‘camping’ whilst deployed? That’s stranger than going on a six-month MEU float, then taking a cruise three weeks after you get home (which was nice because I still had my sea legs). ---

Glacier National Park is one of my favorite places on earth. I’d love to go back anytime. But it’s a long way from here to there, I’m not going there for anything less than a week, and I just don’t see that that’s gonna happen in 2004. I was actually hoping that the MAD Outdoors Club would progress to the point of a camping trip (either cabin or tent camping, depending on where) by summer of this past year. But then it started raining in April, and didn’t quit until July, which kinda knocked a hole in the plans. Maybe next year… ---

The Army kinda cured me of my desire to camp outside. But I’d go for cabins or bungalows with big campfire pits outside. So we can sing, drink, tell ghost stories, drink, roast marshmallows, drink, shoot the sh\*t, and some drinking afterwards I think. There’s some people on this board I’d definitely like to meet if it weren’t for the distance. I’ve been to Yellowstone several times and would look forward to seeing the sites at that park again. I always get a kick out of when Old Faithful blows her load. ---

Actually, thanks to **Robyn** , an idea popped into my head. I did a quick Google search and found [this place.](http://travel.yahoo.com/p-hotel-329911-yellowstone_village_inn-i) My idea? Those who want to remain indoors overnight can book a room at a place like this, and those that want to stay under the stars can pack a tent (or not). Obviously, everyone will be at the bonfire, but some may retire to more convienent facilities. Sort of like the MegaDopeFests of NYC lore (which I’m missing for a 3rd consecutive year, dammit :mad: !). Everyone gets together for the events and then retires to wherever they can/want. Like I said, this is just the “idea” phase. Everything is open to suggestion. Tripler Hell, I’ll sleep on the ground under the stars. If it rains, I’ll throw a tarp over my truck. ---

I have a camper and a tent. Most of the time when I go camping, I don’t usually get much sleep anyway. I have been known to sleep\* in chairs or on picnic table seats. I do not need the comforts of home all the time. Although, buying a camper last year was a nice investment. If its hot out, there is air. If its cold out, there is heat. TV and a microwave for the misskids. \*I may or may not have passed out in both those locations. ---

And will lodge from Troy to Lame Deer to Wolf Point this year. ---

If it’s within an 8 hour drive of me, I’ll go. But I already drive to and from Texas twice a year (1,260m aka apx 20-24 hours), and my car is getting old (217,000m on a `94 Saturn). Don’t want to put her through too much pain. The less hot, the better. I’m a no-heat-liking kind of girl. Buuuuut . . . I turn 21 on July 8th. Hmmmm.
