Why doesn’t someone write up a math equation, and all we have to do is plug in the incomes of every adult in the house, the number of adults in said house, and our zip codes, and the equation will tell us if we’re rich or not? ---

Just so you know, I lied. I get tired of every single site, from comic strip sites to map sites to newspaper sales sites wanting to know my income. Sure, they just want to impress their advertisers with high numbers, but I’m sure everyone lies on those questionnaires. And probably boosts their education as well, and says they are married when they are just shacked up or maybe even living with a cat. ---

The construction workers aren’t Doping all day. I, on the other hand, Dope all day long while pretending to work. In fact, I’m beginning to drop the facade as this entire office does the same thing. I’m about to jump from mid $70s to mid $90s. I’m in NoVA. ---

Also, keep in mind that because it’s \*\*household \*\*income, we’re probably getting the stay-at-home half of single-income couples. ---

I agree that there needs to be more categories above 100k. I know it sounds like a lot of money, but in places like DC it sure doesn’t feel like a lot of money. ---

Household income’s definitely skewed my result. I’m in one category, while the person I’m living with is in another. Our incomes combined are respectable enough, but taken seperately, they’re much less so. ---

Why’d you stop at $100K? For a two-income household that’s only $50k/ea. Which most college-graduate couples ought to be doing, at least in pre-recession USA. If it was my poll I’d have included a $100K-$150K, $150-$200, then $200+ Or made it plain that I wanted total income divided by total adults in the household. ETA: After more careful reading of the thread I see I’m by far not the first with this observation.
