We’ve been having a lot of fun with “Fantastic Contraption” over in [this thread](http://boards.straightdope.com/sdmb/showthread.php?t=476322), so when **Half Man Half Wit** posted some new levels, I figured it was time for a contest. Just beating the levels isn’t enough, though. Let’s do it with some FLAIR! Scoring Beat each level with the LOWEST possible score, which is the simplest machine possible (using my definition of “simple” 'cause it’s my thread). Here’s how it’s scored: Each rod (water or wood) = 1 point Each un-powered wheel = 2 points Each powered wheel = 4 points So [this monstrosity](http://FantasticContraption.com/?designId=87676) would be 24 points (12 rods, 2 unpowered wheels, 2 powered wheels), but [this little guy](http://FantasticContraption.com/?designId=87739) would only be 13 points (5 rods, 2 powered wheels). In the case of a tie, the first result posted with that score wins. That way, if you can copy someone else’s design and make it better, you score better. If you just tweak it without lowering the score, the person you got it from still beats you. Entering To enter, just post a link to your entry in this thread. **Do not just copy the URL from the browser window**. It will be wrong because this is a Flash game. You must go to the Main Menu, select “My Designs,” then use the link button on your saved design to get a proper URL for it (or copy the link that it gives when you save your design). You don’t have to enter all of the levels in the same post. Please put the name of the level on your entry, like this: Invisible Wombat’s entry for [Lvl 44 unsolved](http://FantasticContraption.com/?designId=87676) (24 pts). The Levels (I just picked five of these to keep scoring easier.
