I think **spidey** lurks in the MMP all day just waitin’ to see which post would be first on the next page. 😛 A very laaaaaaaaaarge thunder boomer came through an hour ago and it looks like more are on the way. Thus we have not had cee-mint pond time yet again. The weather PTB are conspirin’ against us! N.O.L. was good, but if’n we never eat there again, we won’t feel like we’re missin’ out on anything. **MOOOOOOM** this is a place where one wears grown up leather shoes, and big boy/girl clothes. One must look all alduterated. I hear thunder rumblin’s again. ---

I have never been on a subway. Sheltered life I lead. In other news irk is being irksome. Why me? Tomorrow is the day I find out if Louie’s lump was nothing or something. Fingers crossed it’s nothing. I want to go home. ---

It’s after 3 and not much done. A few phones calls, looked up some info online for friend. She might be more computer savvy, but I’m more search savvy. I need to call the credit union, some problem with the title of my truck. Which means I’ll probably have to deal with the MVA as well. Did I tell y’all that I got the results of the pathology report? No cancer found. I wasn’t really worried about it but it is nice news. I don’t know how people deal with medical stuff. I totally do not get people who have elective surgery. Never again, I am counting on all of you, if I ever even think of having surgery again somebody please beat me with a 2x4. {{{ **Butters and Louie** }}} ---

We’ve had tstorms off and on all afternoon with the possibility of more on the way. Thus, I have had a **MOOOOOOM** afternoon. I did laundry and baked brownies. 😃 OYKW is out grillin’ some chikin strips. We shall have that over a green sallit (which also made this afternoon) and some cheesy (N.O.C.) bread for dindin. I talked him out of goin’ to Sonny’s tomorrow. I lurve me some Sonny’s bbq, however, what with all the smoked ribs, chikin, and \butt! \ we’re gonna be eatin’ this weekend I think eatin’ at Sonny’s will be bbq overkill. So, we’re goin’ to have a \ Quickie \ N.O.L. tomorrow. The \ Quickie \, interestingly enough, is located next to Sonny’s. **spidey** we have a combo severe tstorm/tornado watch in effect until nine p.m. this evenin’. Storm and tornado watches kinda go hand in hand here. ---

Dindin has been ingested and the kitchen is cleaned. OYKW is preparin’ him a whirlpool tub bath while the weather is still good. The sun is even shinin’ a little. All is good. **flytrap** I have been workin’ on bein’ less controllin’ of who touches stuff in da cave. Thus, I do trust OYKW to grill. Matter of fact he does an excellent job on the grill. However, nobody but da bear may touch the smoker. I even let _other people_ use the sacred stove in the kitchen these days. **BigKitty** will get the sacred stove reference. 😃 ---

[/QUOTE] If you’re referring to the SF Muni underground, yeah, it’s fairly tidy as subways go. BART, however… :eek: Actually, to be fair, BART is much improved over ten or so years ago when they had seats with fabric and carpeting. The wool carpet (Pee-Yew! And I do mean pee!) and upholstery stank whenever damp. The carpet and seats at the ends of the cars were not infrequently wet, regardless of the weather. Nothing would ruin your day quite like sitting down and discovering undesirable moisture. Savvy people would sit on their newspaper or just stand. Mercifully, the carpet and upholstery have been yanked out and the refurbished cars now have waterproof vinyl seating and flooring. ---

Whew! Month end is done. Just now getting home. I swung through the clown’s place for a salad and wrap (don’t judge!). Not only is it month end, quarter end and mid year, but TPTB decided there should be a special count this past weekend (giving my cohorts and me more irk to reconcile), we’ve toured two major clients this week and one (of four) of us is on bereavement leave. But we did it! 😃 ---

HEE! I was just outside talkin’ with my neighbor while her three year old boy was splashin’ around in a mud puddle havin’ a high ol’ time. He was so keeeeeyoooote! Made my day watchin’ him have such a great time splashin’ around, mud up to his knees and laughin’ his little haid off. Like my neighbor said, he’ll be hosed down before he goes in the house and then get a bath.
