I wasn’t sure whether to post this here, since neither of us are/were prominent posters on SDMB. But my wife, who did post here from time to time and certainly enjoyed reading the threads, died on 2nd June. She was 36. She was a writer, a dilettante, and an excellent cook. She was also my best friend, my lover, and the person who made my world colourful. I had no plan for my future that didn’t involve her. I guess I need to think of one. If it’s not too much to ask, I would like to see her name added to the “In Memoriam” thread. Her name here was **Lyanthya**. ---

I’m so sorry, Paul. It’s extra sad when someone so young dies. If you don’t mind saying, how did she die? I’m around her age, and starting to feel my own mortality, and I always take special notice when someone around my age dies. ---

It’s a long story, but basically she accidentally overdosed on paracetamol (tylenol). I could rant about this for days. I won’t, don’t worry. But her liver was not healthy, and it seems she just took more of the stuff than it could process. Her liver and kidneys failed. She was left on a ventilator, a dialysis machine, and some drug to maintain her blood pressure. The doctors asked permission to discontinue this life support. I had to give that permission. ---
