As someone who hasn’t been able to afford a vacation in 15 years, and who just spent a sleepless night because they raised my rent by 8%, all I can say is: Are you fucking serious, lady? Call it envy if you like, but I would really resent it if that spoiled brat were to get a $4k vacation, when I can’t even afford a $200 one. Vacation is for the rich. If you aren’t rich, you have no business doing what rich people do. ---

It depends on what you consider “rich.” To someone who hardly has any money, someone who has enough money for everything they need, might be considered “rich.” It seems to me that the definition of a “rich person” is often someone who has more money than you do. ---

It also depends on how you define “vacation.” You can spend a week in a tent in the woods for little money. Some would call that a vacation. Some would call it hell. ---

After looking at the GoFundMe, I’ve come to the conclusion that this is less of a “My precious Snowflake deserves this” scenario, and more of a “If you want to do this, then you need to raise the money yourself… Fine, I’ll give you one plug on the message board.” scenario. As a father of three who has heard many, many variants of the “but Fang got to go…” whine, \*\*misstee \*\*has my sympathy. Her daughter still any getting any of my money, though. ---

I had a quick google and found their FB pages and Kyle’s twitter with next to near effort (she posted their full names in that GoFundMe link, it’s hardly stalking) but can’t see any transphobic stuff. ---

I wasn’t sure if it was OK to post the link to the transphobic rants, and I’m still not sure (especially now that the thread has been closed). Then again, they only took a few seconds of Googling to find, and it seems obvious that it’s the same guy behind them (same name and profile photo as on the GoFundMe page). Maybe those who really want to see them despite weak Google-fu could get a mod to confirm it’s OK for me to post the link. Otherwise I’m happy to drop the matter.
