Ugh! Guess I missed my chance to get you all to pay for my son’s Europe trip this coming fall break, during his senior year. He’s ever bit as good a kid as the one in the other post. He’s saved his money (pet sitting jobs, mowing lawns, etc) and we and other family members have chipped in for birthday, Christmas and graduation presents. ---

I think one of the problems many people have with it is that as has been pointed out, it did go away with attracting a single post, but with a spectacular lack of shame she bumped it back up again. ---

This thread should have been zapped as quickly as possible. I’d hate to think I’m going to scroll through new posts and have to see 3-4 of these within a few days. I have seen the mods make a few prudent exceptions. That’s fine but the thread under discussion would never be one of them. No-brainer. ---

Shit I’ve never been to Europe either and I’m approaching 40. Fling me a few bucks eh dopers? Seriously though if you want you kid to do this sort of thing as a parent then you help them find a job and/or pony up yourself. Personally I think all begging threads should be locked down on sight. And if that’s not the policy we should all not post in them so they sink without a trace. Actually I’m tempted to spam a bunch of other MPSIMS threads just to push it down the list. ---

I want my 17 year old to go to Europe, too. I will accept half the money the OP is requesting. That way, the hairy, smelly, non-homework-doing kid will have to figure out how to get back in his own. ---
