Speaking of funerals, when my dad died, the service was solemn and serious and all that, but the viewings were… well… For example, at one point, my youngest sis said she wanted my dad to be laid out in a t-shirt that read “I died and all I got was this lousy t-shirt!” Cracked us all up, but then, Dad would have loved it, too. Funerals should be a time to remember the highlights of a person’s life, whether with the music or everyone sharing a beer or whatever brings that person among the mourners. No call to trash a person, but if Grandpa always wore a baseball cap, then it’s a nice tribute if everyone dons a cap, right? Dang, that’s too deep for this early in the morning! ---

Stage one of Crating Ziva is complete - all of the bedroom doors are locked. She’s got 3 hours of freedom till I have to catch her. For a cat who spends pretty much all of her time sleeping, she sure can move fast if she thinks she has to. Meanwhile, I’m showered and dressed more or less as an adult. I should probably scoop the cat box. Good times… ---

Happy Toosday! although near as I can tell it won’t be happy. It’s rainy outside but I only need to go out if I decide to move the truck out of the backyard. I should move it since the ground is going to be soggy. Sometime this spring/summer I’m going to have to either smooth out the ruts, or even better put in some gravel. I don’t know, can’t worry about that now. I have taxes to finish, the bank to call (and I’m expecting an argument there), and call the doctor to find out why I am getting a nasty email about not paying my bill which isn’t due yet. I survived the trip to the armpit, I only had to leave the room once. My mother put the news on and as soon as she saw Obama’s face I had to hear _look at him look at him he is the devil he is satan incarnate look at that face look how evil he is he is out to destroy the country_. All I could think is that if he was the devil incarnate you’d think he’d do something about those ears. **Ruble** I agree with you about people who are cheerful in the morning. It’s not natural. YAY **Sticky** for new car! {{{ **Swampy** }}} re the funeral and {{{ **2Gig** }}} dealing with sad news I can’t decide if I am hot or cold today. My stomach hurts but that is my fault for not eating anything last night. I had lunch around 1, and nothing afterwards except a few bites of chicken. I should know better than to go that long without eating and then taking my pills on an empty stomach too. ---

I paid TaxAct the $20 and efiled both returns. Frankly, it was worth the convenience, plus my refund was deposited within a week. Look at me, spending money with wild and reckless abandon!!! 😃 ---

I thought e-filing was mandatory but my accountant is against it. It’s not [just] because he’s suspicious of tech (he still has an AOL account, for goodness’ sake), he knows of more than a few people who’ve suffered identity theft after e-filing. Postal filing only costs the price of a stamp (or two, depending on the number of forms). ---

**sticky** , I think ants moving bunches of grapes would look cool on a cube. If you are interested in decals, peem me. The priest and minister (no, there wasn’t a rabbi and it didn’t happen in a bar) who officiated at my mom’s memorial were entirely too solemn. To be fair, the minister was a neighbor who only knew her after the dementia set in and the priest had only met her a few times to give communion to her. Even before she passed, while she was in the hospital, the whole fam damily was laughing, singing and even cutting up a little, just like we always do. Thank goodness the eulogies weren’t so sober. 🙂 Getting ready to leave irk soon to go to an eye treatment. With any luck, I’ll be finished before commuter traffic hits. ---
