Turned 50, huh? I have a dim recollection of that having happened to me last year. I’m still going back and forth between being philosophical about it, and a little depressed about it. The idea that, almost surely, more of my life is in the rearview mirror than still ahead is still taking some getting used to. So I can sympathize with **Baker** ’s birthday qualms. Anyway, a slightly belated happy birthday to you, **twickster** , and to you too, **Baker**! ---

Thanks everyone – I’m certainly not going to return good wishes that didn’t arrive on the actual day! And yeah, **RTFirefly** , it’s the likelihood that I’m more than halfway through my life that’s so trippy. OTOH, I also know how much can happen in a year, or five, or ten – and I know there are all kinds of interesting experiences and growth opportunities left to come, which is why I’m freaked and not bummed. Not to sound too '60s about it, or anything. 😉 ---
